As we close out January, the stock market took a breather and ended red today. We had the best January this month since 1994. We are at the start of a pullback which is good because we had a very strong bull run.

The markets fell today as GDP contracted in the fourth quarter last year and the Fed is continuing the bond-buying program but offered mixed reviews of the economy.

The market continued today to make new highs and I believe right now is a great time to be in the markets to make some big gains!

The markets finally did have a red day today and snapped their long win streak. Like I said before a consolidation and pullback is healthy right now because the markets have done nothing but run up in January.

Market Preview (01/28/2013-02/01/2013) and Watch List

Great week in the markets last week as we had a big green week. Markets kept inching higher! Now its looking like it should pull back soon which would be healthy. The conditions in the markets right now are completely overbought.

Some key economic data are scheduled to be released this week which could predict where the markets are going:

Monday - Durable Goods Orders
Wednesday - GDP
Thursday - Jobless Claims, Personal Income and Outlays
Friday - Employment Situation, ISM Mfg Index

The SP500 is still moving higher but I expect a pullback soon.

QLTY - looking for continuation, some extra interest showing in this stock last Friday

SRPT - break of this tight range

So far so good this week as the entire week we have ended green in the markets. Apple led the NASDAQ down in the red as it came out with lower-than-expected earnings yesterday. New Home sales tomorrow.

Great day in the markets today, earnings season has come with some ferocity as they are helping the major averages climb higher. NFLX and AAPL released earnings post-market so there should be great trading opportunities tomorrow in these two stocks.

Market Preview (01/21/2013-01/25/2013) and Watch List

Great weeks in the markets last week as we kept moving higher to new levels in the markets. The bulls have definitely taken over as we have taken out previous major resistance levels.

Look out for all the housing data coming out this week.

The SP500 broke a major resistance level this past week. I am looking for a lot of bulls to enter the market this week.
